Patriot insecticidal ear tags are for the control of diazinon-sensitive buffalo fly, including synthetic pyrethroid-resistant fly populations on beef and dairy cattle. Patriot is impregnated with diazinon, an anticholinesterase insecticide of the organophosphate (OP) chemical class, to protect cattle against buffalo flies for up to 4 months.

Patriot is effective against diazinon-sensitive buffalo flies, but resistance may develop to any insecticide. Ensure you use ear tags as part of a strategic rotation program for best results.

Dosage and Administration

Attach one tag per animal to the back of the ear. Patriot can be applied using an Allflex UTT3S or LazaMatic applicator.

All mature animals in a herd should be tagged for best results. Calves less than 3 months should not be tagged as ear damage may result. Remove tags at the end of their payout period (4 months) or prior to slaughter.
